Understanding the communication styles of the people we work with can be a challenge. People tend to communicate better with those who have a similar style to their own. Conversely, it can be challenging to convey a message to those who don’t seem to understand what they’re trying to say. This session focuses on four main behavioral and communication styles and teaches you how to recognize these traits in yourself and others. You will then be able to apply techniques to adapt to the style of those you’re working with, which will reduce the likelihood of misunderstanding and conflict, and help you work more efficiently and collaboratively.

Purpose:
This session is an introduction to communication and behavioral styles for improving interpersonal relationships in the workplace, utilizing a behavioral assessment (survey) referred to as the DISC model. Synopsis:
Before the scheduled date of the session, participants will receive an introductory email with an overview, purpose and objectives, and information on ways to get the most value from the time spent during the session.
